My dear friends:

This is my 12th year (13th?) raising money for the Humane Society of Huron Valley.  If you are visiting this page, you likely know about the transformative impact HSHV has had in our community.  An extraordinary "save" rate, educational outreach, innovative medical programs, help for low resource folks who want to care for their pets.

This year I am particularly inspired by programs such as Trap-Neuter-Release, which allows feral cats to live out their lives vaccinated, neutered and with some degree of oversight for food and shelter.  Just recently, one of those TNR kitties adopted me and I have been providing food and shelter for her this winter.  I have named her "Miss Diva" because she is a tortie, and reminds me of a dearly beloved tortie cat of mine, gone way too early, who my vet described as "a diva."
