In order to adopt, you must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, with proof of residence. Please allow at least an hour if you plan on adopting. You will need to fill out an adoption application in order to visit with the animals (applications are next to the sign-in area in the lobby of the shelter). You can also save time by downloading and filling out the application now:
Some of our animals have special adoption requirements. If you already have a dog and wish to adopt another, we will require a dog-to-dog interaction.

* - Pick Your Cat, Pick Your Price: You choose your adoption fee! Ask our adoption staff what your fee can help us do!
** - Legacy Adoptions: We provide valuable care and treatment for thousands of animals every year. They are all important to us. Our adoption fees help offset the cost of housing, feeding and caring for companion animals in our shelter. Some pets need an extraordinary amount of medical intervention and care. We can help these pets by pricing animals in higher demand with a higher adoption fee. The money raised by these “Legacy Adoptions” will allow us to provide lifesaving medical treatment, let us work with behavioral issues and help us care for animals that stay here longer before they find loving homes.
Variable adoption pricing or “Legacy” adoption pricing ensures that we can provide top quality of care for all animals.
