Stray Others

Below are other animals that are currently at HSHV as strays. If you see an animal below that you believe may be yours, please contact us at 734-661-3528 or come to our Intake Department between 9am-11am and noon-5pm.

IMPORTANT: It is our policy to put any adoptable strays up for adoption after 4-7 days of their arrival (animals with ID are held longer). If your pet is lost, it is imperative that you contact us right away.

To claim your pet, please bring:

  • A picture of you and your pet, veterinary records, or other proof that the animal we are sheltering is your pet.
  • Proof of a rabies vaccination. We can vaccinate your pet for an additional charge, if necessary.
  • Be prepared to pay a $35 intake fee plus a board fee of $25 per day for each additional day your pet is here. You will also need to pay medical fees, if necessary.

Warning! Sometimes unfriendly citizens use these types of websites to prey on people. HSHV urges you to use caution if you are contacted by someone claiming to have found your pet and asks you for a reward in exchange for the animal. This is a common con and should be reported to your local law enforcement.
