The Furry Godmother Fund
The Furry Godmother Fund enables HSHV to go the extra mile for animals that have suffered abuse or neglect and require medical treatment that is beyond the scope of regular adoption center procedures. HSHV budgets for these special cases that come into its clinic and shelter. Each year HSHV needs approximately $20,000 in order to provide life-saving medical care. Sponsor a Homeless Pet
We know it's not always possible to adopt but you can still make a difference in the lives of homeless companion animals. Sponsor an animal in honor of a friend and family member. Your sponsorship gift will appear on our newsletter, Shelter Life and you can send an eCard to the special animal lover in your life letting them know of your donation in their honor. |

Donate Now
Make a general donation online to help us continue to care for close to 10,000 animals each year. We will use your gift where it is most needed. Memorial/ Honorarium
Honor giving to HSHV is a fitting way to honor the passing of a pet or animal lover, or celebrate a milestone for a dear friend. Memorial and Honorarium gifts can be made in any amount and designated to a loved one. Gifts will appear in our newsletter, Shelter Life, and you can send an eCard to acknowledge your gift today.

Membership
Membership donations help provide the essentials for our day-to-day operation. By becoming a member, you are helping to keep the animals in our care warm, safe and well-fed as we strive to place them in loving homes.

Cage Sponsorship
Good food, a soft blanket, a special treat -- these small things mean a great deal to the dog or cat whose new temporary home is our shelter. For a gift of $300 (six-month sponsorship) or $600 (one-year sponsorship), you can become a Cage Sponsor and be the source of comfort that every animal deserves.

Friendship Garden
At HSHV, we have established a Friendship Garden, a quiet place to sit, reflect and commemorate special friends. For a gift of $150 or more, a plaque is inscribed with your personal message and affixed to the Friendship Garden wall. Your tribute is also printed in the next available issue of our newsletter Shelter Life.

Planned Giving
The Guardian Circle of Donors is a group of individuals who have made planned gifts which will help protect homeless and abused animals in our community. You can name the Humane Society of Huron Valley in your estate when planning your will or trust, donate stocks, bonds or life insurance, or make an investment like a Charitable Gift Annuity.

Special Events
The Humane Society of Huron Valley hosts several fundraising events throughout the year. Our biggest annual event, the Walk & Wag, takes place each May and you can participate as a walker, sponsor, or volunteer, or simply make a donation to support the event. We also host a stay-at-home Cat’s Pajamas event in February and a Compassionate Feast vegetarian dinner in the fall. Click here for a complete list of events with dates and details. |

Goods and Services
Do you have items that might be of use to the Humane Society of Huron Valley? Do you own or manage a business that could lend goods or services so that our staff can focus on providing care to the shelter animals? In-kind gifts can range from dog leashes or cat litter to tree-trimming services, gift certificates or silent auction items. Are you the person on everyone’s list who has everything? You may wish to consider offering an “in lieu of gifts” option at your next birthday, holiday or celebration.
