In November of 2012, after arriving here in Michigan from Missouri on the PetSmart Rescue Waggin, I had to have surgery to fix my hip. After the surgery, I was taken home by my new foster mom so that she could help me get better. I was always very careful to be on my best behavior with the hope that she would decide to keep me forever. I made sure to never have an accident in the house, I never barked, I never got on the furniture [now that my hip is all better I can sleep on the couch :)], and I finally decided to sit for her when she asked me to since she seemed to really like it when I did that. All my good behavior paid off because in December she decided to keep me forever!

Now, eight months later, my hip feels much better and I am the fastest dog at the dog park! I got to join Dog Scouts this spring where we go on hikes in the woods with a bunch of other dogs, which is my favorite activity in the world. Last week I even tried kayaking and, as it turns out, I am a pro!

Thank you HSHV for doing such a great job fixing my hip so I can run again and finding me a great new home!
