GOTR Girls Help Their Community

Girls on the Run -- St. Francis of Assisi School

If you haven’t heard of Girls on the Run, you are really missing out.  GOTR is an awesome organization that teaches young girls about how to think beyond themselves and become actively involved in their communities, as well as teaching them how to eat healthy and practice to run a 5k race.

It is only fitting that this group of girls came a school named after St. Francis, who is a religious figure known for his love for nature and the animals that live in our communities.  Francis of Assisi would be proud to learn that these hard working girls decided to do a collection of items to donate to HSHV.

It also helped that all the GOTR kids really love Animals and wanted to make a big difference.  Well, nothing makes a bigger difference for our animals than bringing them yummy food and treats!  Thank you so much for all your hard work, and good luck at your big running event!  Have fun and work hard, like you have already shown you are excellent.
