Our newly adopted dog is settling right in! Love adopting a full grown dog!

We adopted Scruffy (formerly Stucky) about two weeks ago. We didn't really even consider how nice it is getting a dog who isn't a puppy... we've had no housebreaking and no accidents! He is very well behaved and knows just how to behave while on a walk. We had him groomed since this picture and the groomer said they could tell he knew the routine.

He is well socialized, and has accepted that he is now a part of our family. He and our dog, Cheerio are getting along great! They are a little jealous of each other when we come home... each wants ALL the attention. Play time is interesting too, since each one wants to play and will steal the other one's toys. He is a little afraid of thunderstorms and needs reassurance during storms (this year we've had quite a few storms).

It has been a huge blessing to receive such a gift!
