New Happy Tails program on Community Television Network (CTN Ann Arbor Channel 19) to feature HSHV adoptable animals

First show will air on May 3, 2013

Ann Arbor, MI:  The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) has partnered with Community Television Network (CTN), Channel 19 Ann Arbor, to present a 30-minute program hosted by Melissa Cohn-Bondy. The show, Happy Tails, will feature information about animal care and the programs and services offered at HSHV, and it will also allow viewers to see some of the animals that are up for adoption, live on the show.

“For many years CTN has been gracious enough to run a program that loops slides of all of our adoptable animals ,” said Deb Kern, HSHV Marketing Director. “While that has been very popular, we are really excited to be able to showcase some of our homeless animals on the new Happy Tails show. Viewers will not only get to hear more about each individual animal, they will get to see them interact with our staff and volunteers. This show will also provide important information about HSHV’s program and services that some community may not be aware are available to them.”

Happy Tails will premiere on Friday, May 3rd on Channel 19, at 4:30 pm. Replays will cablecast:

  • Mondays at 9:00 am
  • Tuesdays at 7:30 pm
  • Thursdays at 9:00 am
  • Fridays at 4:30 pm
  • Saturdays at 12:00 pm

This program will also be available online at http://a2cititv.pegcentral.com/

“I’ve done animal adoptions on television in the past and the adoptions seem to skyrocket with how up close and personal we’re able to become with each animal and of course the animals pulling viewers heart strings,” said Melissa Cohn Bondy, CTN Assistant Manager. “CTN is very excited to take the HSHV partnership to the next level with Happy Tails.”
