In honor of our handsome Husky, Maverick, and HSHV’s ongoing success at
stopping animal abusers, an anonymous donor has generously offered to match your gift up to $10,000, April 1st through April 5th.

We released the story about Maverick just a few days ago. He came to us hauntingly thin and with what appeared to be burn wounds.  His owner admitted that she tied his mouth shut with twine, so he couldn’t eat.  He gained 8 pounds in just eight days at our shelter and is now happy and healthy.

After extensive work by our Cruelty Investigation team, his owner was charged and eventually found guilty of animal cruelty. 

We are only able to stop animal cruelty and provide ongoing care to animals like Maverick because of the generosity and love of our donors.
