Bongo (formerly Liberty) and Lexi were adopted about 2 months apart in the fall of 2011. From the moment Lexi saw Bongo across the parking lot at their first interaction, they have been best friends.

This is Bongo (formerly Liberty, on the right) and Lexi. Bongo was adopted in early sept. of 2011 and Lexi in late oct. of 2011. From the moment they saw each other across the parking lot at their first interaction, they have been best friends. The volunteer said she had never seen an interaction like theirs. From that very first day, they've been using each other as pillows. Bongo cleans Lexi's face and ears all the time. they're such good buddies.

Bongo has always been a confident, cuddly little girl. Lexi is still a bit of a scaredy-cat (loud noises, new people) but she's come a really long way. she warms up to new people much more quickly and her eye contact is drastically improved. She's still coming out of her shell but she's a super happy girl who smiles alot and wags her entire body. Bongo is also an obviously happy dog. When i'm at work, they spend half days at arbor dog day care with their other friends. they had a ton of fun 'helping' my girlfriend and i clean up fallen limbs in my yard the other day. they're both wonderful, sweet dogs who are going to live happy lives. i'm so glad they came to live with me.
