Instant Connection Negelected no longer. I had starting volunteering at HSHV to satisfy my dog fix! Since I let my ex take our two dogs after the divorce, I was dog lonely. The second day of volunteering I saw a cocker spaniel in her pen shaking like a leaf. She was part of the group of cocker spaniels rescued from the unlicensed breeder and had lived in a cage most of her life. I read her sad story and found out she had to have most of her teeth removed due to years of neglect. Because of the missing teeth her tongue sticks out the side of her mouth and that was the clincher, I knew I had to take her home. I felt an instant connection with her and when I took her for a checkup a few days later the vet said she had never seen a rescue bond so quickly with someone. Molly stuck to me like glue and instantly relaxed when I petted and talked to her. Molly now has a wonderful, loving home and loves just laying on the couch sleeping next to me. I live on an acre of land and every day it gives me a warm feeling to watch her able to run free and roll around in the grass and snow.
