Sebastian (formally Silver)  Sebastian (formally Silver) Sebastian said "I haz a heart to heal" After several years and several traumatic experiences we decided that it was time. Time to let someone new in. Time for our young daughter to experience the joy of being owned by a pet ;) I had bookmarked HSHV in my browser for months, waiting for the right time to go adopt. I planned and planned. But when will I learn that planning doesn't always yield the best results? I wanted to make sure we were ready and we could find the right pet for our little family. Well it wasn't planning but a sad turn of events that led us to Sebastian at HSHV on Friday Feb 22nd. I looked at him and he at us, I thought we were rescuing him but it was really he who was rescuing us. He purred, drooled, and head butted his way out of his cage and into our lives. We took him home right away. He adjusted like a pro. Especially when it came to our daughter,a young and vibrant 3 year old who just never stops running. Sebastian's cool combination of chillness, cuddliness, and playfulness made a perfect fit. Although he has only had a few short days here in his new forever home he has already warmed my heart, eased my pain and been my hope. Thank you HSHV, and thank you Sebastian. |
