Daisy (formerly Skipper)

Daisy (formerly Skipper)
Daisy (formerly Skipper)

The dog who may grow older, but will never grow up!

My family adopted Skipper (now Daisy) in July 2011. She has been in our home for almost a year and a half and has been nothing short of an absolute pleasure. It is almost impossible to get a picture of her because she is all wiggles and excitement all the time. She keeps a *very* strict napping schedule (there is no rousing her) and always always always greets us with the best pitty smile! She loves to chew on anything and everything (which can occasionally get her into trouble), but she especially loves her Michigan blanket (Go Blue!). She takes it with her everywhere she goes and she loves to share it with her favorite humans! She is approaching her 2nd birthday, but doesn't act a day older than the day we brought her home. She even has a special boy in her life (of the human variety) that she is ALWAYS excited to see, more so than her own humans!
In the 18 months we have had her, she has grown tremendously - from the timid, shy, untrusting pup who would hide in her crate at every little noise, to the boisterous and social dog that she is today (although she is still afraid of exercise balls and spiders!). She has made several puppy friends and even more human friends. Although she has grown accustomed to her "little dog" (cat) siblings, she still doesn't understand that they don't like to play the same way she does, although occasionally Bubba (her oldest kitty sibling) will indulge her in a playful game of Swat the Dog on the Nose.

Daisy would like everyone at HSHV to know that she still loves and thinks of them often and appreciates everything they did for her.
