It's not JUST puppy love

Adopt an adult dog and experience unconditional love this Valentine's Day

doghearts.jpgWe know it's hard to resist little adorable puppies but when you really stop and think about it, adopting an adult dog is the best option for many families.

While not every adult dog has all of these qualities, many certainly do. Adult dogs usually:

  • Are calmer
  • Are house-trained
  • Know basic manners, like sit and stay
  • Have their personalities already set
  • Are extremely grateful to have a family of their own

Not every family has the time or patience to properly train a puppy but many busy families can still have quality time for an adult dog. It’s also true that puppies find homes quicker than adult and senior dogs so adopting an adult dog means their length of stay in a shelter can be shortened. When an adult dog gets adopted they express their gratitude
and affection easily and seem to understand that they have found love.

This Valentine’s Day, if your family is thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider one of our wonderful adult dogs.
