He enjoys his new family and his doggie big brother, Ruger

In June of this year, my husband and I wandered into the Huron Valley Humane Society just to "look around." We had been toying with the idea of getting a new puppy as a companion for our playful, leggy Chihuahua, but kept waiting for the right time and the right dog. When we came across Gambit (formerly Ace, a 6lb Rat Terrier mix), he was terrified and huddled in the corner of his crate, unwilling to sniff our hands or even look at us. Our hearts went out to him and immediately we jumped to adopt, and the next day he somewhat reluctantly came home with us.

After the first day or so, his attitude and energy level sprang up as he became more and more comfortable in his new home. He now spends his days springing around the backyard with his new big brother, Ruger, and he is a very happy, healthy young boy whom we love unconditionally.

 
Gambit (formerly Ace) was surrender by his former owners who were no longer able to care for him, and I hope that if they see this post that they feel proud that they did the right thing for this puppy in the long run, and we are so very grateful that we are able to have him as a part of our family.
