Community Members Come Together To Support Homeless Animals

These local area businesses are providing much needed assistance

During this time of giving we are blessed that people are calling to find out how they can help the homeless animals in our community. HSHV is frequently in need on canned and dry cat and dog food, but we also have a “Wish List” of items that help us care for homeless pets.  HSHV also has holiday cards and 2013 calendars that can be purchased with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the shelter animals.

This holiday season the following organizations have generously joined with HSHV to provide much needed assistance:

Pet Supplies Plus (Ann Arbor)

• Shop at Pet Supplies Plus (November 23 – December 31) 
  • Pet Supplies Plus in Ann Arbor is helping the homeless animals at HSHV with their “Gift from the Heart” campaign. Visit PSP on Plymouth Rd., or South Main and you will be given a shop bag and a Humane Society of Huron Valley “wish list”. You will get 10% OFF your purchases that will help the homeless pets. You can stop by HSHV to deliver your goodie bag or leave it at PSP and we will pick it up. We thank Rick Hartman and all of our friends PSP for their support.

• Get your pet’s photo with Santa (Sat., Dec. 1^st – Pet Supplies Plus - 2607 Plymouth Road  Ann Arbor, MI 48105) 
  • Jill Andra Young Photography will be taking professional photographs of your pets with Santa. Please make sure dogs are on a leash and all cats in a carrier.  You will receive a lovely framed photo on-site for only $12 with $10 coming back to HSHV as a donation! You will also get a chance to purchase additional sheets and gifts with your pet's photo at amazing low prices. Don't miss this chance to have professional photos and give back to HSHV.

  • Cary D Lieffers Photography will be taking professional photographs of your pets with Santa. Please make sure dogs are on a leash and all cats should be in a carrier. Don't miss this chance to have professional photos and give back to HSHV with your donation. All donations help support the care of animals at the Humane Society of Huron Valley. • Busch’s Fresh Food Market & Purina
• Sponsored by Busch’s Fresh Food Market & Purina. Make a donation December 3rd through December 12th by purchasing items from the in-store Wish List and dropping them off in the Wags and Wishes Drop Box. You can also make a monetary donation right at the register.  All proceeds from the below locations benefit the Humane Society of Huron Valley
