JD, recovering well thanks to caring HSHV staff

A dog hit by a car is cared for at HSHV

JD3Stray and alone, JD, a 2-year-old black shepherd mix, wandered into traffic and was hit by a car. It’s hard to imagine the pain and fear that JD felt as he gasped for breath. Luckily a witness found him and called the Humane Society of Huron Valley.

JD suffered many injuries and our veterinary staff spent hours stabilizing him and providing medical care. He spent a full month in a foster home and, thankfully, JD has made a complete recovery.

Says foster mom, Sondra Ewin, “He is a really sweet dog. He gets along with my other pets, and is a very affectionate guy.”

It’s only because of our wonderful donors that dogs like JD have a place they can go for care. We thank you.

To adopt JD, please call (734) 661-3511 or visit www.hshv.org for more information.
