Rising from the Dead!  Rising from the Dead! Phoenix & Pookie, brother & sister had a harrowing start to their lives'. Geoff had been away on business, so with no groceries in the house, we went shopping. Geoff asked; you are not in a hurry to get the groceries are you? No, so we went for a drive. We ended up at The Humane Society, which had an Adoption Day! I said, we are just looking, fatal!! We didn't get very far inside the doors when we saw two beautiful kittens, Phoenix and Pookie, 3 months old. They were very ill when they arrived at The Humane Society. Phoenix at one stage was fed by syringe. Both suffered with respiratory problems, Phoenix almost died! We took them home with us & haven't looked back, they are both thriving! In fact, the first week they gained a pound in weight. They are so much fun and very loving. Phoenix certainly is a character!! He snuggles in between us at night, and is always looking very mischievious!! Pookie is a sweetheart, she looks up at me when she wants a cuddle and she does cuddle!! We are very happy that we found them, but I really think they found us!! They join two girls, Pudge & Piper, age 6, also from The Humane Society, all getting used to each other and settling in well! |
