The Move To Massachusetts

The Move To Massachusetts
The Move To Massachusetts

Home is where the cat is, and now that means Massachusetts.

Uffda had been accompanying me on some preliminary trips to Massachusetts to work on the house. He was a model passenger for the 12-hour road trips, spending most of the time in his hidey bed with a towel draped over the entrance. He instantly fell in love with the house. Once inside, he made himself at home in record time, finding his food, water, and litterbox within minutes of arriving there.
Now he's having a blast running around the house, careening up and down the stairs, then hanging out on the sunporch watching the local wildlife. He also discovered that his toys are kept in a canvas tote bag near his dishes and that he can fetch one whenever he wants.
Otherwise, life in the house isn't a whole lot different than life had been in the apartment. He still sleeps on the same bed next to the same human, plays hard with a lot of the same toys, works out on the same scratching posts, eats from the same food bowls and uses the same litterbox, not that he has any objections to that.
Nor do I have any objections. He's still the best friend with whom to share living arrangements. He's still the same happy-go-lucky soul I adopted from HSHV in November 2010. He purrs every time we make eye contact or call each other, and I'm always ready to drop whatever I'm doing to give him some special time.
