HSHV Fall Adopt-a-thon Scheduled Join us on Saturday, September 29th from 9am to 9pm The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) is excited to announce the "Fall Adopt-a-thon", Saturday, September 29th. This mega adoption event will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at HSHV. If you are planning to attend with the hopes of adopting, please take the time to fill out our adoption survey's listed below. This will save you time when you get to the shelter. Additionally, the second page of the survey has money-saving coupons that you can use during your adoption process!
"This past spring we held an all day adoption celebration,” said Renee Benell, HSHV Adoptions and Customer Service Manager. “The response was so successful we knew that offering another day in the fall was a must. By looking at the number of kittens that would be available, and watching our animal intake numbers, having an event in late September seemed like the best time to once again try and find 100 homes for 100 homeless animals.” 62 pets were adopted during the Spring Adopt-a-thon. HSHV is currently averaging about 70 pet adoptions per week during 2012 and recently just celebrated the 2,500 adoption of this calendar year. There is a lot planned on for the Fall Adopt-a-thon:
“Showing families that pet adoption is fun and fulfilling is also one of the goals of this event,” said Renee Benell, HSHV Adoptions and Customer Service Manager. “So many old perceptions exist around shelters and we want people to see that HSHV is not like any other pet adoption center they have visited. Our staff is knowledgeable and friendly and our adoptable animals are wonderful companions ready to find caring homes.” |
