Lola's New Home Formerly Eloise - Adopted in June 2012 We adopted Lola (formerly Eloise) in June 2012. We had recently lost our first dog and wanted to have another playmate for our 6 year old Beagle/Shepherd mix - Anna. We kept an eye on various adoption websites (including HSHV's site) and went to meet a few dogs that we thought would be a good fit. We were on our way to meet another one when we decided to stop at HSHV. We looked at a couple of the younger puppies, but then saw Lola sitting quietly in her kennel. She was just what we were looking for. We had Anna with us and the HSHV staff arranged a meeting between the 2 dogs. After the initial "get to know you" barking and sniffing, Lola started chasing Anna and they ran around the training room until both were out of breath and thirsty. We cancelled our other visit and decided to adopt Lola right then. She has been a great addition to our family. Thank you to the HSHV staff for caring for her before we adopted her. |
