Join the Friends of Canton’s Dog Park and the Humane Society of Huron Valley for a FREE Dog Park Etiquette Class.

At the Canton Dog Park
(Located in Cherry Hill Village at Preservation Park. Entrance to parking is off of Denton Road, north of Cherry Hill, across from Fire Station #3.)


This class will explore understanding and recognition of dog park behaviors. This includes what happy and comfortable behaviors look like compared to fear, stress, and dominance behaviors that may lead to aggression. 

It will provide expectations both for humans and their dogs at the dog park. Common dog park activity will be discussed which includes what to watch out for and reactions, and how to discern what may or may not be ok dog park behavior.

There will also be a short section discussing breed, size and personality along with greetings and the recall command. Lastly, summer safety, children at the dog park, and additional resources will be touched upon. Hope you can make it!
