Our 2000th Adoption of 2012!  Bernadette at her Adoption Bernadette travels to California with her new family On Saturday we celebrated our 2000th adoption of the year! Bernadette, a four month-old wire-haired dachshund mix, was born in Missouri and transported to HSHV via the Rescue Waggin program for adoption. Meanwhile, the Bergman family has been coming to HSHV once a year, every year, since their son Jonah was seven years old (he's now fourteen!). They live in California, but always stop by HSHV to see the dogs when they're in the area visiting family. They always had their eye out for the perfect new family member, and on Saturday they found Bernadette. She flew with them to her forever home in California that very night. From Missouri to Michigan to California—Bernadette has traveled more in her 4 months than many of us do in one year! Thank you so much Bergman family for continuing your support of HSHV and thank you so much for adopting Bernadette!
