Pearl is Perfect!  Pearl and her family Why we love our pitbull Pearl The Naasko-Hajratwtala family adopted Pearl in September 2011. We are Mom and Dad, and three girls, Zoe (10), Ava (8) and Tea (8). We adopted Pearl several months after our beautiful Zini, a black Labrador died. Pearl is the best dog ever! Tea's favorite thing about Pearl is that she is "pretty quiet". Ever since we adopted her, we've noticed that she doesn't bark or jump on people when new people come over. She is great with strangers, especially kids. She is the calmest dog we've encountered. Mom thinks of her as a "zen dog". Ava's favorite thing about Pearl is that she's "funny and obedient". She does what you tell her to do, like come when she is called. She likes to lick a lot. She also is funny because she farts sometimes. :) Zoe's favorite thing about Pearl is that she is a big cuddler. She loves to sit with you for hours and watch movies. She loves to lie in front of the fire and relax (we think she is a tropical dog!). Dad's favorite thing about Pearl is that she loves to lie under his desk while he's working. She keeps his feet warm. Mom's favorite thing about Pearl is that she is awesome running partner! Mom is a distance runner and wanted to get a dog that would run with her. When we adopted her we learned that Pearl liked to run and she had previously run about 3 miles. Mom has taken her on distances as far as 8 miles and she loves it. She does not pull on the leash and doesn't get distracted by other dogs or animals along the way. We feel so lucky to have Pearl in our lives and thank the HSHV for introducing us to this great dog and breed. We're sure we'll go back for another pit bull next time! |
