Penelope (formerly Beeper) Home for good! We adopted Penny on June 24th. She is a Daschund mix. She was part of the charity wagon and came from Missouri so we have no background on her. The day we met her we took her outside for a walk. She was playing with my husband and heard a siren. She stopped what she was doing and just listened. We knew at that moment she was our dog.(My husband is a firefighter/EMT). She fit perfectly into our family. The first few days were rough, but we got through them. She gets so excited when my husband has to run out of the house for a fire call. She loves being at the fire station and gets excited when the trucks come back, especially when her Daddy gets out of one. In a matter of days she learned sit, down, roll over, come and stay. We have only had her a couple of weeks, but I can't imagine our life without her. I know puppies are cute, but don't overlook the older dogs. They are truly gems. |
