Staff Picks: Buckley, Brewster, and Scooter

Come see which animals are current staff favorites!

Buckley and Mandy

Buckley

Mandy is one of our Animal Care Technicians. Her favorite shelter cat is Buckley.

Poor Buckley has bounced around from home to home by no fault of her own. She’s another cat who has made a big impression on staff and volunteers at HSHV. She's not shy at all about asking for attention, she'll rub and rub on the person visiting with her! She's extremely affectionate and has a huge purr motor as well! She came in with a large group of cats, but we've discovered that while she loved her family members, she thinks it's time that she be the only cat in the home! She has the sweetest white paws which are often found making muffins on or near whomever might be visiting with her. She will often follow folks around the room, waiting for them to sit down so that she can move in for the love! This wonderful girl wants nothing more than some love, and a permanent home that's all hers!

Scooter and Cameron

Scooter

Cameron is our Veterinary Technician Supervisor at HSHV. Her favorite shelter dog is Scooter.

Scooter LIVES for belly rubs. He cannot get enough of them and will be more than happy show off his handsome tummy on a regular basis! He’s a silly and wiggly guy who can make you smile with just one look. Scooter is active and playful and he’d love to find a family who knows how to have some fun!

Scooter is a total sweetheart who has made his way into the hearts of more than a few staff members and volunteers. He’s affectionate and goofy and we can’t get enough of him!

Brewster and Shannon

Brewster

Shannon is one of our Animal Care Technicians. Her favorite shelter cat is Brewster.

Brewster is an incredibly sweet man! He has quickly become a favorite of several staff members. He’s extremely social and would cuddle all day if he could have it his way! He’ll take affection and love from anywhere he can get it.

He's a funny guy... he has a lot to say about world around him, he's always chatting about something! When he first came to us his fur was extremely matted, making any movement very painful for this poor guy. Most of his fur had to be shaved to relieve this pain, but it will grow back and be gorgeous again! He loves to play, loves to nap, LOVES people and just loves life!
