Tigger's Heaven on Earth

Tigger's Heaven on Earth
Tigger's Heaven on Earth

This is a story about Tigger's outing to his favorite dog park

We have found the Swift Run Dog Park in Ann Arbor and I have to tell you it is Tigger's Heaven on earth. He is the brindle and white Pitbull leaping towards the other two playmates in the picture. He is incredible there. Magglio (Weimaraner), his step-brother, I always thought was the social butterfly. He loves everyone and everything, dog, cat, people, skunks. It turns out that Tigger is much more social with the other dogs and their owners. He has run into a couple more aggressive ones and he just turns and runs to another more amicable playmate. Being a Pitbull I had initial concerns on how he would react. People have mentioned how he plays with their dogs with just the right amount of exuberance. Never aggressive but not afraid to roll in the grass, mudpit, or water. So funny to see him bounding across the park with jowls just a flappin. Not sure if dogs can smile but my gosh he has a good time and it looks like it, as he is running full tilt towards us across the 10 acre park. We spent two hours there on Saturday. Sunday he slept most of the day. Wore himself completely out. By the time we left he didn't have any white or orange on him, he was basically wearing the mud puddle. He didn't mind a bit, either did we. He was pretty much the color of mud head to tail. A lengthy bath at home got him back to his old self. I had him to the vet and the groomer for a check up, bath, and nails done. Both of them said he was such a great dog and behaved so well (they said his step-brother Magglio should take some notes.) I have to say though that he is such a great ambassador to the breed. Everyone is so impressed with his behavior with dogs and strange people, and his stunning good looks of course. I couldn't be happier. I would never consider having another dog other than a pitbull mix.
