Rex  Rex Formerly Hagar Hi, I am from March 2012 group known as the Van Halen threesome. Since I no longer trash my sleeping quarters with my former roommates and I don't usually relieve myself when the urge arises, I thought it would be a good idea to follow the lead of other maturing rock stars and change my name. I am now called Rex...formerly known as Hagar. The picture was taken when I arrived at my new house and the other two dogs also live here. They are alumni of HSHV and the Berman Center. (I'm the cute one on the right, in case you wondered.) I have been at my new house for 1 week now and I want to tell all my friends at HSHV that things are good. My two new sisters thought they ran the place but I had to break them in. We had a few loud discussions along the way but I think they got the message. When I left HSHV, I signed on with new human managers who make sure that I eat well and exercise regularly. My humans are starting to come around also. At first they spoke an odd language...I couldn't understand them so I didn't pay a lot of attention to what they said. But recently, they are getting with the program. (They must be watching the Dog Whisperer). I'm now starting to understand what they are asking me to do and if the mood feels right, I'll do it. Did I mention cats? There are 3 of them in this house and they are lots of fun. You can really fake them out. Just jump up and act like you are going to chase them and they fly...they really fly...right over the little gates my managers have strategically placed in various doorways in my house. Did I mention walks? My two new sisters and I walk about a mile every day. It is great fun, especially since the weather has been so nice. Not only are we getting good exercise but we are bonding as a pack at the same time (I'm the pack leader wannabe). Before I sign off, I want to thank the great folks at HSHV for taking good care of me and my former Van Halen brothers and for helping us find a great forever homes. Love, Rex |
