Eleanor, Our Floor Lobster

Eleanor, Our Floor Lobster
Eleanor, Our Floor Lobster

My future brother-law gave our cat an unusual nickname because of her walk.

My fiancee and I adopted our cat, Eleanor, in January of 2012. We immediately fell in love with her. She's a smart, lap-loving cat who is rather unique.

We've never heard her meow-instead, she makes a sort of cricket-like, crackling sound. Her coloring is also unique-long, black and brown hair with white roots that show through when she moves.

Possibly the cutest thing about her, though, is her walk, and the nickname it earned her. Eleanor has very, very short legs, and when she walks she looks like she's scuttling across the floor. Josh, my future brother-in-law, watched her scuttle, and declared her to be our floor lobster! The nickname has stuck, and only made her more adorable.
