Boris a.k.a. 'Bo'  Boris a.k.a. 'Bo' We couldn't imagine life without BO! Hello! My fiance and I adopted Boris, a black lab/rottweiler/retriever mix dog that was roughly 2 years old and found as a stray originally. We had been interested in getting a dog for some time but the thought of puppies scared us. We are both still very active with work; school; and more work at this point in our lives that we decided we just weren't going to have enough time to raise a pup, though we really wanted to. After a few visits to the Humane Society, we saw Boris. We really liked his mild temperament at the shelter and enjoyed a nice walk outside with him. We were still apprehensive about adopting or not because neither of us had a ton of extra free time on our hands to commit to a dog. After a few days of discussions, we decided that we could either A) go on forever coming up with reasons not to get a dog or option B) get the dog and figure everything out later. :) We are so glad we chose option B. I went to pick up Boris from the shelter 2 days after our first encounter with Boris. He was such a good, quiet dog that had some training already, we couldn't pass up the opportunity. Boris, from day one has had our hearts! He's such a good boy! Loves being outdoors...especially in the snow. Boris enjoys going on long walks/hikes with us and is just the perfect door indoors. He is calm and gentle and rarely barks. Bo was a little funny about having his paws touched at the shelter, however has loosened up with us as we have gained his trust.
