Maizie and Hobo

Adopted in October 2011

Me and my family live on a mini animal farm with mini pigs, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, horses and of course our two adopted dogs Leo and Libby. We have had a mice problem forever but lately it got bad!! They were everywhere and it needed to stop!!! We had the Barn Buddies program in mind and decided to call and see if they had any available. Maizie and Hobo were they only two cats they had and were rescued from a trailer park when they were only a few months old. They huddled in the back of their cage, mad for being indoors. They were clearly outdoor cats. But we instantly fell in love. A few days later we came to pick them up from the shelter after they were both spayed and had their shots. We kept the tiny cats in a crate for 3 weeks so they would learn to stay, and thankfully they are still here. Hobo and Maizie are super happy to be rescued from life indoors. They have certainly come out of their shells and come to greet us (or just beg for the yucky canned food) whenever we come to feed. They get along just fine with our mini animals and keep getting more brave. They spend their days hunting in the lofts or sleeping in the sun. We are so glad for them and our mice problem is not only fixed but we haven't seen mice since we got them. They are a perfect addition to our farm and we they are great to have around.
