Black and Tan

We adopted Petey (formerly "Dandy") on December 15th, 2011. We fell in love with him right away after seeing his sweet demeanor, big ears, and black bear face. There was only one catch! We had another chihuahua mix at home that was terribly spoiled for the last 4 years and we were unsure how he would react to having a brother for the first time.
It was touch and go at first when they first met. Petey would jump on Sparky and Sparky was not having it, rebelling with some nipping and some pretty ferocious sounds. We were so set on it working that we talked with the nice man at the humane society and he gave us some tips to help them get along.
He must have seen the potential! It wasn't 3 days later when our household was filled with fun, cuddling, playful wrestling, and what we like to call our version of the BLACK and TAN (traditionally a mix of Bass Guiness beers!)
Cheers to new beginings, and happy homes filled with love and dogs!!
