HSHV Named Outstanding Shelter for 2nd Year Straight The Michigan Pet Fund Alliance has honored HSHV with a 2010 Outstanding Shelter Award for having the highest "save rate" among all similar shelters in Michigan. For the second year in a row, the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance has awarded HSHV with the Outstanding Large Shelter Award. This award is based on our "save rate", or the percentage of animals that came through our door that were successfully reunited with their families or found a new loving home.
