Louise (formerly Blossom)  Louise (formerly Blossom) Adopted in September 2011 My husband and I lived with my parents for the first few months of our marriage. My parents have two cats and two dogs, so our kitty Jane was in good company. When we moved to Ann Arbor, and away from all of the other animals, Jane became increasingly lonely. My husband and I discussed adopting another kitty for some time, even stopped into the Humane Society of Huron Valley a few times to look around. But no one really clicked with us the way we expected.That is until we met Blossom, who we now call Louise, in September of 2011. She was in a bottom cage, lounging around, pawing at us. She grabbed my index finger with her paw and my heart melted. My husband attempted to get me to walk around and think about it, but I knew she was the kitty for us. Louise has been the best kitty I have ever lived with. She follows me around like a little dog, comes when she's called, and is in my lap the instant I sit down. She loves to be brushed, loves belly rubs, and loves peeking at the neighbors out the front window. She insists on sitting on the back of the toilet when I take a shower or I am doing my hair or brushing my teeth, as you can see from the picture. She likes my husband, too, but maybe not quite as much as she likes me. And she is best friends with our other kitty Jane. They play together all day and snuggle together all night. I can't thank the HSHV enough for allowing us the opportunity to adopt this little kitty. She is amazing, and they are amazing for saving her life. |
