Moni and Canelazo (formerly Yosemite)  Happy Tails? Adopted in 2005 and May 2011 This is a note from Moni, a cat who is not sure about her new roommate! I am Moni. I was adopted about six years ago and was able to rapidly train my humans to do what I wanted. I was THE queen and boss until last May, when my staff brought home "the beast." They call him Canelazo, or Super-cinnamon, apparently because of that supposedly "beautiful" cinnamon color. But let me tell you: he is a BEAST and he does not know how to handle these people! First of all he is BIG and he scares me. But then he obeys to everything they ask him to! SIT! He sits. DOWN! He lays down. SPEAK! He barks. HIGH FIVE, he raises his paw. Gimme a break! What kind of respectable animal would do that? Not me. They still remember when they tried to walk me with a leash and had to carry me instead cause I would not budge. The beast also likes to fetch his tennis ball and play soccer with his Kong ball. And he loves to go for walks. Jeez. I do not get that one. Who would like to go on a walk with someone who does not eat mice? Anyway. I was hoping these people would return the beast to his foster Moms--Kiley and Sarah, they really looked like super nice people--but he seems pretty comfy now, sleeping in all the couches, wagging his tail whenever someone comes home, going for long car rides, playing in the doggie park, and getting a ridiculous amount of attention, treats, and toys. My humans. They are a lost cause. But I have shown him that I can hiss and scratch. He knows his place now--at least with me. Happy tails indeed, Thank you Humane Society? Yeah, right. |
