Memphis  Memphis helped heal our broken hearts Adopted in August 2011 We adopted Memphis on Saturday, August 27th after meeting him at an adoption event at Wags to Whiskers in Plymouth. It was love at first sight for him and my 17-year-old daughter, Claire. He leaned on her and wrapped his paw around her leg...a sweet hug. Our 14 year old golden mix died on June 20 and one month later, our 8 year old Cockapoo, Sanibel, was diagnosed with mouth cancer. We knew right away that Memphis was a sweet boy and would do well with Sanibel. Sadly, Sanibel died less than a week after we brought Memphis home, but he was a blessing to come home to! We brought Memphis to the HSHV vet two days after adoption because he had diarrhea. They were wonderful! He got some probiotics, antibiotics and fluids and he is doing fine now. With the free exam, it cost all of $10.00. The following Friday, Memphis went up north to Gaylord where he went on walks with his golden retriever friend, Jasper. He is great in the car, house training beautifully, comes when he is called, sits and shakes hands. Of course, we are working with him diligently but he is one smart puppy! |
