Buddy and Roger  Complete Family Adopted in July 2010 and January 2011 Walking down the aisles, I was greeted by many dogs at the edges of the kennels, anxious to find a home. Until I came to Roger's kennel, a brown pit bull who seemed to have given up on finding a new home after spending 6 months at HSHV. I was at HSHV with my mom, who was adopting a dog for my little brother. I wasn't actually even looking for a dog, since I had just adopted Buddy- a labrador pit bull mix, about 7 months prior. But Roger had won my heart over, and when I got home I mentioned him to Dylan (my fiancee). At first he wasn't sold on the idea of another dog-at all. We talked about it, and finally decided that maybe a companion for Buddy wouldn't be a bad idea. Roger's personality seemed to be a perfect match to Buddy's. So we went back the next day with Buddy to meet Roger. They got along so well instantly! So we took Roger home that day- January 29th 2011. He has been the perfect addition to our family, and I am so thankful every day that I was able to find Buddy the perfect friend! They do everything together, and can't sleep unless they are snuggled up right next to each other (in bed with us of course) They even swim together in our pool! They really are the best dogs I could have asked for. Thank you HSHV- |
