Major (formerly Almond Joy)  Major (formerly Almond Joy) Adopted in April 2011 My name is Kate and my husband and I adopted Major in April of this year. I don't think we could have made a better choice. When we first came to Huron Valley, I knew I wanted to look at dogs that would have a guard type nature to help me keep an eye on the house as my husband worked the night shift at the time. We looked at pit bulls and boxers and we finally ended up in the puppy section. I immediately wanted to take Major to the play room and when we got him in there, I knew he was the one for us. We adopted him that day. He is growing into an amazing dog. His average time for learning new tricks is two days and I've run out of new trick ideas! He barks to alert me when someone is near the house, which I like and he loves to cuddle up for a nap. He's a great running and exercise partner as well. We have also discovered that he loves the water, which is a bonus because we love going to the lake. Our experience with Huron Valley was great and I won't hesitate to return when we are ready to add another member to our family. |
