Sam

Sam was brought to HSHV when his owner became ill, was brought to the hospital and couldn't care for him anymore. Sam is a sweet older gentleman who will need a quiet, low-key home without any small children. He's an 11 year old tan Terrier mix who would love to accompany his people on daily walks, and take the occasional nap at their feet. He's here at HSHV waiting patiently to meet his new family and explore his furever home. Please stop by HSHV today to meet this fantastic K-9! Sam has some special needs. He has Mitral Valve heart disease and is considered a "diamond in the ruff" due to this condition.

The HSHV "Diamonds in the Ruff" program was specifically designed for animals that will require some lifelong special attention, either physically or behaviorally. After all, just because they need a little extra care, doesn't mean they don't deserve the ability to live their life out in a caring and nurturing home. If you would like more information please see the front desk staff. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccinations and micro-chipped before leaving the shelter, a cost that is included in the adoption fee! Please stop by HSHV between the hours of noon and 6:pm, 7 days a week to visit our adoptable animals.
