Lottie  Lottie Adopted in April 2011 We officially named her Charlotte and we call her Lottie, Charlie, Charlottie and Sweet Girl. She pretty much answers to anything. She's doing very well in our house with Toby and our cats. She loves to play so we play a lot of catch every day and we try to take walks every day too. She's a bundle of energy! We took her to our vet who recommended fish oil for her skin so we added that to her list. She's almost done with the antibiotics and her next skin scrape is in 2 weeks but the vet said she looks awesome. She's getting lots to eat and has more toys and bones than she knows what to do with. She likes to bring a few bones and 2 or 3 of her favorite stuffed toys and makes a pile at my feet when I'm on the computer. Her fur is growing out nicely but is still thin on her legs. The vet said that bathing her might be drying out her skin so no baths until her next scrape but every few days I wet her down and rub the lotion into her skin. She doesn't chew on herself too much anymore and when she does, my husband or I will distract her with a toy. We've been taking her to the store with us for bones and socialization and she's doing awesome with that. She is still a bit shy around men she doesn't know but she's getting better. No barking at them, just a little hesitant. She very much likes to sit with my husband on the couch and curl up in his lap. Our neighbors next to us have a dog and Lottie doesn't seem to have any problems with him either. They like to run up and down along the fence together. Thank you VERY VERY VERY much for rescuing her and saving her life!!!! She is the sweetest and most loving dog and we adore her. She really completes our house and is the most perfect dog I can imagine (except for Toby of course)!! She is learning her rules and manners very well and my husband and I are looking forward to a long life with her!! |
