Curly (formerly Zaphoid)  Curly Adopted in March 2011 After our 18 year old cat died (a shelter cat we adopted), we decided to look for a new cat. We wanted a "people cat" at least 5 years old who liked people and was friendly. One of HSHV's great volunteers (thank you Debbie) showed us the cats we looked at on-line who looked like good matches. We petted and talked to 9 cats total. When we "interviewed" Zaphoid he leaped out of his cage into my wife's lap and touched her nose with his. It was mutual love at first sight and we adopted him on the spot. He has an amazing curled tail so we just had to rename him Curly. Curly was like a small kid on Christmas eve his first night with us and it was like Christmas day the next morning he was that happy. Purring, playing and all over us with affection. He instantly adapted to life with us without missing a beat. He's just perfect for us and we think we are for him and we are having just a great time together. |
