Annie  Annie is Awesome Adopted in September 2010 Annie came to HSHV with six puppies on the PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin' last fall. Although she was only 9 months old, she was already a momma - babies having babies as we say at the shelter. I have to tell you that it was love at first sight but because I work at HSHV I often get that feeling and understand that I can't take them all home. I went back to my desk and knew she'd be adopted - she was so cute. As luck would have it or maybe fate, Annie was adopted but returned 3 days later. Her new family thought she was depressed and their home did not make Annie happy. I'm glad they did the right thing for Annie and it was a sign to me to try her with my three spoiled rotten cats. They got along great and Annie and my youngest cat, Murphy, love to play together. Of course you already know how this story ends - Annie lives at my home now and she seems exceptionally joyful in her new surroundings. I know she makes my days brighter everyday. Sometimes love just can't be denied! |
