Happily ever after DJ - 4 years later DJ came to us 4 years ago, hard to believe. He was 8 and in need of a forever home; we had a void in our hearts and home. I saw DJ online and told my husband this is just what we need to fill our hearts the void that we felt since losing our cat Oscar. We live in the Toledo area and on Saturday afternoon we took the ride to meet DJ. Unfortunately he was in a foster home and we couldn't see him. Soon we got a call that they were going to set up a meeting for us to meet DJ. I even took my granddaughter since there was a fear that he wouldn't be so accepting of her. I remember driving home with him with tornado warning and bad storms all round us. He has adapted very well...maybe too well! He runs the house; what DJ want DJ gets....including the first greeting when my husband walks in from work. On his visit to the vet last week he got a excellent report... he now weighs 11 lbs. a bit more than the 9.75 he was when we got him...he is on Hills Science Diet K/D..and doing quite well. Thank you for allowing us to make our home his happy forever home! |
