Someone to love After losing a pet suddenly, my husband took me to HSHV just to lift my spirits. After losing a pet suddenly, my husband took me to HSHV just to lift my spirits. We knew we would adopt again but thought it would be a little while before we were ready. We gave treats to most of the dogs in HSHV's Dogtown and then went to the small dog and puppy area. While I was visiting with a puppy, I turned to say something to my husband, and he was gone! He was down at the other end, and I could tell by the look on his face that he was in love. He has always supported me and my love of animals but never really had the bond himself until he locked eyes with "The Noodler." That was her name when she was at HSHV. We named her Pepper but I lovingly refer to her as the "little mistress" because she stole my husband's heart and made me fall in love with him all over again! She is the sweetest smartest puppy! I love how easily she fit right into our family with our other dog and three kids, too. I honestly believe she was meant to be ours, and we are so full of love and gratefulness that she rescued us! |
