A Birthday Girl's Gift  Alivia Pablo Picasso said that “the meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” For so many animal lovers, their gift is to bring compassion and happiness to others. For Alivia, she felt compelled to share her gift with those who could not care for themselves. In lieu of birthday presents, Alivia asked for donations to HSHV. When asked why she chose to give donations instead of accept gifts for her birthday, Alivia replied, “I like cats, dogs, and all animals. I want to help care for them.” Because of this most generous gift, our homeless animals received a bounty of towels, cat food, dog toys, dog food, money, and clippers.
