A Friend to Animals

A very friendly and enthusiastic animal lover came to HSHV to celebrate his birthday one Saturday.  He warmly greeted his guests, and graciously requested donations of dog food, cat food, towels, toys, and even timothy hay for our animal friends instead of the usual toys and gifts for himself.  At the tender age of 7, this generosity intrigues many.  When asked why he chose to accept donations instead of gifts, he explained that the pleasure donations bring to animals in need is just as gratifying, if not more so, as receiving the most wanted video games and 7-year-old-boy entertainments.  Nicolai, you are one Kind Kid!  Thank you and happy birthday!
