The Countess Comes Home

Grouchy face, but a sweet demeanor

When I went to HSHV in January, I asked one of the volunteers to point out a cat who had been overlooked and would like a quiet home. The volunteer said to check out a 13 year-old cat named Trinkle, and I adopted her. She's renamed The Countess now, because of her resemblance to Maggie Smith. A visit to my vet revealed she has diabetes, so she gets insulin shots twice a day. The Countess doesn't mind, and neither do I. She loves eating, judging, being brushed, and is the first cat I've known who's indifferent to sunshine. Thank you for taking care of this unique old lady -- I'm glad to have her.
