Jarvis comes out of his shell

Jarvis comes out of his shell

After hiding under a chair for several hours, Jarvis (now know as Dumas after Alexander Dumas) becomes the terror of my toes and sleep for both me and his sister.

When I saw Jarvis at the shelter, he was scared, but the foster mother told me he was a cuddler (and nobody who loves cats would lie) so I took him and a bob-tailed tiger home. He soon made ventures out and was playing with toys and annoying his sister. She insisted on meeting him after only a day, and she would hiss at him every so often, but I honestly think he does not know what hissing means because he just continued trying to play with her.

I work nights so I get home around dawn, and he greets me at the door every time. At first, I tried to sleep as soon as I got home but I think someone told him toes were piggies because he seems to think mine are made of bacon and will try to eat them. Eventually I had to use the water bottle on him to avoid going through the rest of my life toeless, but he quickly figured out dad's toes may be delicious but he should stick to what is in his dish.

He now plays with his sister for hours every day, and they sleep together quite peacefully. He has become a bit of a brat and seems to need to play with whatever his sister is playing with and eat whatever his sister is eating but I let the children sort that out between themselves.

When I took them to the vet for their check up, he had gotten his sister's cold but we got some medication for that. I also got confirmation that he knows I will keep him safe because after they took his temperature, he climbed me like a tree and sat on my shoulder like a parrot does with a pirate. Even though he was scared, he was still careful not to dig his claws into me. So I know even though he is impulsive, he is still a gentle soul.
