Indy (finally) has a playmate

Loki goes where no other cat could

During Indy's 13 years, he never had a fellow kitty that would play with him. His first 8 years, Indy lived with my parents and another kitty. But this kitty did not want anything to do with Indy. Then I brought Indy into my family, but my two girl cats at the time also did not want anything to do with him. As the girls got older and then passed on, I adopted a wonderful cat, Remy, from HSHV. But, like the kitty siblings before, Remy just did not want to play with Indy.

Then this past August while working a volunteer shift comforting cats, I came upon a young (1.5 years old) Siamese mix male cat by the name of Loki. He was very outgoing and sociable. As everyone walked past his cage, he would meow at them. I spent some time visiting with him and in that short period of time, I fell in love with Loki and felt for certain that he would blend well into my family.

A couple days after meeting Loki, I went back and adopted him. Within a week of careful integration with the other 2 cats in the household, and a few more weeks of hissing and figuring out the family dynamics, Loki and Indy are best buds. Loki is a very independent cat, but also extremely affectionate. He loves his human family and he loves to entice Indy to play. Most evenings they will either be chasing each other or tumble wrestling. I have had senior cats for some time and have forgotten how "on the go" a younger cat can be. Loki is a silly, sweet cat, and I am very happy to have him be a part of our family as I am sure Indy is too.
