Young Local Girl Has a Mature Sense of Charity  Mya has a special kind of Birthday Mya is a typical girl, in that she had been looking forward to her birthday party and was excited about seeing what her friends brought. She said she “loves seeing what her friends pick out for presents” and you would think she would be shocked to receive, pet toys, food, beds, dog and cat treats, leashes, collars, and food bowls. Not exactly typical 11 year-old-girl birthday fair but Mya is not a typical young girl. She asked all of her friends to donate to the shelter instead of giving her gifts. Mya loves seeing what her friends pick out, but she knows that “the animals need it way more that I do.” What a great kid, thanks Mya! |
